Bandara Husein Sastranegara Disebut Tak Bisa Lagi Diandalkan Direktur Bandar udara Kementerian Perhubungan Mohamad Pramintohadi Sukarno menyebut bahwaBandara Husein Sastranegara di Bandung, Jawa Barat, tidak bisa mengakomodasi pertumbuhan lalu lintas udara. Karenanya, penerbangan domestik bermesin jet akan dipindahkan keBandara Kertajati di Majalengka, Jawa Barat. Sepanjang tahun 2016-2018, jumlah penumpang di Bandara Husein Sastranegara naik 6 persen menjadi 3,86 juta, dengan jumlah lalu lintas pesawat tumbuh 11 persen menjadi 31.865 penerbangan. Sementara, untuk kargo tumbuh 40 persen menjadi 19,21 juta kilogram (Kg) barang yang diangkut. "Memang, mau tidak mau harus pindah (dari Bandara Husein Sastranegara ke Bandara Kertajati), karena Bandara Husein Sastranegara sudah maksimal dikembangkan," imbuh Pramintohadi, seperti dilansirAntara , Minggu (23/6). Sebelumnya, Direktur PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Djoko Murjatmodjo mengungkapkan Pemerintah Daerah dan masyarakat Jawa Barat tidak akan bisa maksimal menikmati manfaat yang lebih besar dari sektor pariwisata daerahnya jika masih mengandalkan Bandara Husein Sastranegara.
"Bandara Husein Sastranegara bertahun-tahun tidak berkembang. Untuk menambah landasan jadi 2.200 meter saja kami harus menebang gunung. Sementara itu, di sana juga ada lapangan tembak milik TNI," tutur dia. Oleh karenanya, sesuai instruksi dari Kementerian Perhubungan, AP II tidak mengalihkan seluruh penerbangan komersial ke Bandara Kertajati, melainkan hanya memindahkan penerbangan domestik saja. Direktur Utama AP II Muhammad Awaluddin mengaku siap menjadikan Bandara Kertajati sebagai motor baru pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pariwisata Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sesuai rencana, perpindahan 56 penerbangan, meliputi 13 rute domestik ke Bandara Kertajati akan berlaku pada 1 Juli 2018 mendatang. Sebelumnya, diberitakanAntara , Direktur Utama Aviatory Indonesia Ziva Narendra Arifin menilai pemindahan 56 penerbangan domestik dari Bandara Husein Sastranegara ke Bandara Kertajati terkesan dipaksakan. "Menurut saya kurang efektif dan kesannya agak dipaksakan," katanya. Padahal, menurut dia, perlu kajian terkait keuntungan yang ditawarkan bandara peralihan dari bandara sebelumnya, baik dari segi volume pengguna jasa, akses infrastruktur, dan aktivitas penunjang ekonomi daerah sekitarnya.
"Dengan dibangun bandara sebesar Kertajati, apakah proporsional dengan potensi ekonomi sekitarnya? Apakah akan mendatangkan investasi bisnis? Membuka lapangan pekerjaan? Apa saja sektor industri yang ada di Majalengka yang akan diuntungkan dengan maskapai berjadwal?" terang Ziva. Tak cuma itu, ia melanjutkan pemberian insentif kepada maskapai pun tak signifikan untuk menciptakan operasi penerbangan yang berkelanjutan. Apalagi, maskapai saat ini tengah mengalami permasalahan terkait biaya operasi yang tinggi, sehingga berdampak pada harga jual tiket yang tidak semurah sebelumnya. Diketahui enam maskapai akan mengoperasikan penerbangan di Bandara Kertajati, yakni Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Sriwijaya Air, Air Asia, Lion Air, dan Xpress Air. Pemindahan penerbangan domestik disebut-sebut karena sepinya bandara terbesar di Jawa Barat karena yang bertahan saat ini hanya satu rute penerbangan Kertajati-Surabaya yang dioperasikan Citilink.
