Ketika Jepang Kebingungan Lihat Mobil Listrik BYD, Kok Bisa Murah? Uzone.id - BYD mendadak jadi raksasa otomotif, khususnya segmenmobil listrik . Dengan kualitas yang berani diadu, secara harga jual ternyata bisa jauh lebih murah. Jepang pun bingung kenapa bisa begitu.
Belum lama ini, The Central Japan Economic and Trade Bureau menggelar seminar baterai dan kendaraan listrik di Jepang. Pada kesempatan tersebut, sejumlah pelaku industri otomotif setempat menyampaikan rasa bingungnya setelah melihat mobil listrik BYD buatan China.
MelansirNikkei , pelaku industri otomotif Jepang kebingungan lantaran mobil BYD dijual sangat terjangkau di negara asalnya. Bahkan, BYD Atto 3 yang terkenal laris manis itu hanya dibanderol 140 ribu yuan atau Rp 306 jutaan.
Pada seminar yang dihadiri 70 perusahaan otomotif tersebut, sejumlah tamu ingin tahu apa yang membuat harga mobil listrik BYD bisa murah. Benarkah komponen yang digunakan berbeda dengan mobil-mobil Jepang?
"Bagaimana mobil listrik (BYD) bisa diproduksi dengan biaya serendah itu?" tanya salah satu audiens asal Jepang yang penasaran dengan produk BYD.
Pada seminar itu dijelaskan, mobil BYD Atto 3 bisa murah lantaran komponen yang saling terintegrasi. Pada perangkat penggerak listrik "E-Axle", selain motor, inverter, dan reducer, ada delapan komponen seperti pengisi daya dan konverter DC-DC yang terintegrasi.
Selain itu, BYD juga menggunakan skema 'subsidi silang' dengan memanfaatkan penjualan mobil yang tinggi. Sehingga, keuntungan dari penjualan tersebut dialihkan untuk biaya produksi suku cadang.
Kenichi Ito selaku Direktur Sanyo Trading mengatakan, produsen China termasuk BYD telah mengambil langkah berani untuk menjual mobil listrik semurah itu. Kebijakan mereka sangat berbeda dengan produsen-produsen mobil asal Jepang.
"Produsen mobil China sangat mementingkan produksi berbiaya rendah. Mereka secara tegas bisa membedakan antara komponen yang perlu diinvestasikan dan komponen lain. Pandangan mereka tentang kualitas berbeda dari produsen Jepang," kata Ito.
Sho Kato, Kepala Departemen Nissin Seiki yang hadir di seminar terkait mengaku terkejut dengan langkah efisien yang diambil BYD. Dia berharap, perusahaan Jepang bisa mengikuti jejak mereka di masa depan.
"Saya terkejut dengan sedikitnya jumlah komponen yang digunakan BYD dan Tesla. Perusahaan kami juga berharap dapat menggunakan pengalaman yang diperoleh dari bisnis kami untuk memasuki bidang EV di masa depan," tutup dia.
